Earth Friendly Program - Easy Care Roses
Plants, Pots, and Tags that are friendly to the environment.

Grown well from the start. These no fuss roses perform wonderfully in drought conditions and are more resistant to diseases. Less watering and no spraying make these not only low maintenance, but eco-friendly as well. Grown in a biodegradable pot, with a biodegradable tag, allows you to toss, compost, or plant the packaging with less impact on the environment. All varieties perform well in full sun, are a shrub form in habit, and are great used as a specimen, border, or mass planting in your landscape or garden.

Lady Elsie May® Rose

Lady Elsie May® Rose This All American Rose Winner produces masses of coral pink flowers providing continual bloom late spring through autumn. It rapidly establishes the first year and shows excellent tolerance to a wide spectrum of environmental conditions. Classified as a repeat-bloomer, Lady Elsie May® grows 3 to 3 1/2 feet making it an excellent landscape shrub rose for mass plantings. It exhibits hardiness to USDA Zone 5 performing well in sun or semi-shade. Use as a specimen plant, in containers, or in groups of 3 or 5. Rounded habit, 3 high and wide, Full Sun, Zones 5-10. Plant Pot N' All Instructions

Follow the steps below or click here for a printable brochure.

PLANTING INSTRUCTIONS: For best results, remove the container completely before planting.
Though planting “pot & all” is acceptable with the following instructions.

  1. Dig hole as deep as the pot and twice as wide.

   2. Remove pot bottom, slit sides, and tear off rim.

   3. Fill hole with soil, pack firmly to remove air pockets making a basin around pot for watering.

  4. Soak soil well making sure to remove any air pockets.

   5. Add 2"– 3" of mulch around plant, taking care to keep it away from the trunk.
